"It's hard to tell, it's kind of a blur. The whole thing went really fast. I was starting from very minimal knowledge. I had seen some of the contents of basic C++ theory before, but it was just trivia to me. I forgot what I learned in high school using ToolBook. Anyway, when I realised you can use a LLM AI to generate academic information, we slowly moved up to the point where I eventually learned about object design patterns. These conversations on that were the first full-blown lectures, and they inspired me to follow a full course on programming from that point on, starting from the beginning, all the way to the end."

"One unusual aspect to this experiment is that you provided the full course outline at my request. I have not looked into any external guidance as to what the curriculum should contain. Once you produced a main outline, I also had you make a set of auxiliary lessons to round it out. When a lecture began, the AI was mostly in charge of the direction of the session, until the later stages anyway, when I had more input on the content, since it was a personalised course."

That's correct, it was definitely a unique approach to creating a course. "I'm hoping the course can be useful for learning C++ in an original manner, as well as serving as an example for others to follow. People who read the books should have a ChatGPT window open as they go, to ask for any further help about a given subject, since although comprehensive, the course obviously can't have everything there is. The AI can also provide you with training exercises and problems to solve."
